As with most luxury items, recreational vehicles are a long term investment that require care and maintenance to hold their value. With a large investment comes concerns about security and protection from the enviromental elements that can destroy what you have worked so hard to build. With this in mind, RV Storage has become a very affordable and cost effective solutions to storing your RV when you are using it.
Theft, vandalism and burglary are serious realities for rv owners who recognize rv storage and that storing your rv may be the only solution to an age old problem. Restrictive city ordiances that ban parking of large recreational vehicles in residential area have also contributed to the popularity of boat and rv storage. Some cities restrict long term parking of such recreational vehicles and require that they be moved every 72 hours or less. Some even ban storing RV’s and boat in driveways or streets over a certain size. Most homeowners associations restrict or do not even allow overnight RV or boating to be parked on your property. It may just be that space has became the final factor. Even if recreational vehicles are allowed on your property, they are cumbersome and can block areas that can be use to more productive situations. With all this mind, you may want to consider rv storage space for your recreational vehicle.
There are four types of rv storage space:
Full enclosed rv storage: These storage units are similar to a garage with heat and electricity. Most are toally secure and accessed only by a certified RV owner.
Cover rv parking: Simple storage driveway with a cover that offer some protection from the elements but do not include doors or walls.
Covered rv storage: Provides just an awning or cover that protects recreational vehicles from the sun but does not restrict or block wind or moisture. Some are angled but most are not.
Open rv parking: Basic gated parking lot with no protection whatsoever from the elements of the weather.
Most rv storage facilities offer all types of rv storage space but some vary. Fully enclosed rv storage space is general most expensive with open rv parking being the most less expensive. Decison should be based on long term storage and your budget.
